ABORIGINAL TRANSPORT
Linked Community Services acknowledges the traditional custodians of Aboriginal country through Australia and we pay our respects to our Elders, past, present and future.
Linked Community Services follows culturally appropriate protocols to ensure Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander participants and their family members feel supported, welcomed and valued by Community Transport staff during individual support and program delivery.
Linked Community Services staff are provided with appropriate resources, up to date information and training to confidentially support Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander participants and their families.
Linked Community Services aims to provide culturally appropriate transport services so Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander participants and their family members are more connected to community supports for the purpose of employment, education, health, well-being and social inclusion.

- Promotion of Linked Community Services within local Aboriginal/Non Aboriginal communities
- Strengthen and create collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders of the Aboriginal communities, Community Care Sector, Aboriginal participants and their families
- Development of culturally appropriate resources and promotional material.
- Employment and recruitment of Aboriginal staff and volunteers.
- Cultural Awareness Training and Development for staff and volunteers
